Thrissur: A private bus caught fire near a petrol pump at Mankidi Junction around midnight on Tuesday. The parked bus, identified as Suhail (KL 34 A 6391), operating on the Chalakudy route, was gutted in the blaze.

The fire broke out near the PCK petrol pump, where six buses were parked. It also caused damage to another bus nearby. The fire did not reach the petrol pump but briefly spread to a nearby office room before being quickly contained. Fire and rescue services from Mala rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
