The Desert Sled motorbikes thrilled a generations of Americans in the 1960s. The Scrambler Ducati bikes ruled the sand dunes and revved up to hearts. Desert Sled was modeled on the motorbikes with up to 450 cc that had been converted for offroading.

The Italian Ducati made inroads into the United States through the Desert Sled. Ducati made Scrambler for the US market since 1940. The offroader comes with 250 cc to 450 cc single-cylinder models. Scrambler was unique. The simplicity in design and the compact shape helped the model stand out. The offroader is all set to thrill India.

Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled

Desert Sled does not have the bulk that you expect from such a costly motorbike. This is a hybrid between adventure motorbikes and Enduro Motocross. The solid tubular frame is evident like a six pack. The front suspension and the high mudguard add to the looks.

The steel tank comes with fine finishing. It has a capacity of 13.5 liters. You would admire the round head lamp with grills, aluminum handlebars and the right-leaning single-dial meter console that houses the odometer, speedometer, trip meter, clock and other warning lights.

The seat is small and the double silencer is short, 19 inch at front and 17 inch in the rear.

The beast comes with an 808 cc twin cylinder engine with 73 bhp. It has six speed transmission. The bike weighs 207 kilos but it’s a glider when on the move. The 200 mm suspension promises a smooth ride.
