Bengaluru: Vandana Sikka, wife of former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, resigned as Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation, USA, said the software major Tuesday.
Vishal Sikka had earlier resigned as the CEO of Infosys on August 18 following what he called 'personal attacks' by the founders including N.R. Narayana Murthy. He then assumed the role of the executive vice-chairman which he exited on August 24 after Nandan Nilekani took over as the non-executive chairman to steer the company out of crisis.
"We thank Vandana Sikka, as she decides to move on from the organization. We acknowledge her contribution in leading the Foundation's initiatives over the last two years and five months," said the company in a statement here.
The Foundation's US arm will continue to focus on its mission to inspire children, young adults and educators to become creators of technology, it added.
