Akshay Kumar must be eagerly waiting for his next to hit the screens soon. So are everyone else who saw the trailer of his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. It has already received over five million views on YouTube and is still counting.
Going by the trailer, the plot revolves around a married couple Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and Jaya (Bhumi Padnekar) who wage a battle against open defecation. Fighting all odds they spread awareness about sanitation by building toilets in the village.
The trailer exudes warmth with its witty dialogues and realistic sequences. Besides it is all for a social cause - sanitation. The film is inspired by Swachch Bharat Abhiyan launched by prime minister Narendra Modi.
The film is directed by editor-director Shree Narayan Singh whose earlier film as director was Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai. He worked as editor in films like A Wednesday, Baby, Special 26, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, among others.
The film fraternity in the Bollywood is all praise for the trailer and posted euphoric comments in the social media.
John Abraham, who was Akshay's co-star in Desi Boyz and Garam Masala was the first to react on Twitter. He tweeted, "Here's wishing all the best to my co-producers of #Parmanu @kriarj & my friend @akshaykumar on their new venture!! #ToiletEkPremKatha"
