Avarude Ravukal: a motivational office drama

The plot of the movie centers around the struggles faced by two youngsters.

Although a loud copy from Hollywood, Dileep-starrer My Boss was certainly a crowd favorite with its overbearing female boss and her naive assistant. Well, get ready for a better dose of the game of one-upmanship in office space in upcoming Shanil Mohammed-movie Avarude Ravukal, starring Unni Mukundan and Asif Ali in lead roles.

Honey Rose, who plays the domineering boss of Mukundan, says her character is pretty much like Mamtha Mohandas’s character in My Boss. The actor says the shoot of Avarude Ravukal was something that she loved to bits.

“Although I have worked with people of all age groups, this young crew literally amazed me. Initially, my onscreen time in Avarude Ravukal was too short. But I enjoyed the shoot so much that I requested Shanil (the director) to add a few more scenes that include me, just so that I could spend some more time with them,” says Rose.

Avarude Ravukal, which is all set to hit theaters on June 23, is Mohammed’s second venture after Philips and the Monkey Pen, which he co-directed along with Rojin Thomas. Touted to be a motivational movie, the plot centers around the struggles faced by two youngsters, vying for a good break in their career.
