They say there's no such thing as a decorous divorce. Actor Surabhi Lakshmi may beg to differ. The actress and her husband Vipin Sudhakar recently parted ways with each other on an uncontested divorce in a rather nice way.
From what it seems like, their divorce was much less rancorous than the usual. The news regarding the divorce was confirmed by Vipin himself. He posted a selfie with Surabhi on his Facebook page and wrote: "Our last selfie. We've got divorced. From now on, we'll be good friends."
The couple were granted the decree of divorce at Calicut family court on Wednesday. There were rumors that the one-time lovers had been estranged for quite some time now.
Surabhi also posted a screenshot of the shared content, announcing the divorce.
Thanking her friends and fans, Surabhi said they had been living apart in the past one year.
"Now we're officially divorced. We took this decision together and we still respect each other," she said.
However, the actress did not reveal the reasons behind this decision. "We've our reasons for taking such a step. This is a personal matter and thus I'm not interested in sharing those reasons," she said.
"I hope you will continue to support me in future," she concluded.
Surabhi won the National Film Award for Best Actress this year for her performance in Malayalam movie 'Minnaminungu.'
