Actress Sobhana has always chosen to stay away from the limelight and has rarely raised her voice against public issues.
Recently, in an interview to a Tamil magazine, the actress was asked to comment about the February 17 actress attack case that shook the Malayalam industry.
However, Sobhana refrained from expressing her views on the case in which actor Dileep was named an accused. But she did say that she believed in the 'efficient' Kerala police force that was investigating the case.
The actress further said that it was hard to believe that such a thing happened in Malayalam industry. “Mollywood has been perhaps the only industry where people work without any bias. As an actress, we always had the notion that Malayalam industry was the best and safest place to work. I don’t know about the present situation but it's saddening to hear that there are rifts in Mollywood which had always been like a family”, she said.
When asked about Dileep, Sobhana said that she had met Dileep in 1997, during the shoot of the Mammootty-starrer Kaliyoonjal. She also said that on the sets, Dileep was the most fun-filled person who entertained everyone with his mimicry talents and everyone said only good things about him.
