Thiruvananthapuram: Divya Unni was a name to reckon with in the late nineties and the early part of the new millennium in Malayalam cinema.
A classical dancer of repute Divyaa Unni had acted opposite all the major heroes of the time, including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Dileep and Suresh Gopi.
She had also acted in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films.
The Bharatanatyam exponent was back on stage at the Soorya Festival in the capital city, mesmerizing dance aficionados.
She began by paying obeisance to Guru and then went on to present a spectacular performance, which was acknowledged by the audience with a big round of applause.
The actress was performing in Thiruvananthapuram after a long gap.
She had last acted in the film Musafir (2013), directed by Pramod Pappan.
