Megastar Mohanlal has won the Andhra Pradesh State Government’s Nandi Award for the best supporting actor for his performance in the super hit movie Janata Garage.
The list of the award winners of the past three years was announced recently. Junior NTR who played the protagonist in Janata Garage bagged the best actor award.
Janata Garage won six awards; including the one for best story for Koratala Shiva who has also directed the movie. Pelli Choopulu is the best film; while Satish Vegesna won the award for the best music composer. Ritu Varma was selected as the best actress for the year 2016.
It is for the first time that an actor from the Malayalam film industry is selected for the prestigious Nandi award.
Mohanlal wowed the Telugu audience with his performance in Janata Garage; and several Mohanlal fans associations were started in both Andhra Pradesh and Telagana following the huge success of the movie.
