It was a prank by the crew of a film, but for the pornstar-turned-mainstream actress Sunny Leone, it was the shock of her life.
The act was planned by Leon's celebrity manager Sunny Rajani and make-up man Tomas Moucka. The make-up artist stealthily hurled a plastic snake on Leone when she was reading a script, resting on a chair. The video showed Leone jumping and scampering away screaming after tossing off the toy snake.
It was the actress herself who shared the video. However, Leone took revenge on Moucka and shared the video of it on Facebook.
More than the funny video of the snake prank what went viral was the war of words between Leone and journalist Upala Basu. Reacting to the video Basu had raised her concern if the snake was real and could have been hurt when Leone threw it away. Basu also alerted the animal rights organization (PETA).
Leone soon came with a reply that Upala didn't know about her love for animals and that the latter was raising issues as she disliked the support shown by the actor's fans.
