There is a new mimicry sensation on the block and his incredible act of imitation is creating ripples on social media. Mithun Chetoor, the Assistant Producer of ‘Udan Panam,’ the super hit reality show aired on Mazhavil Manorama, had always stayed behind the camera.
But RJ Mathukutty, one of the anchors of the show came live on Facebook while they were on the sets of the show to unravel his impeccable talent.
After some convivial nudging and compulsion from his friends including Raj Kalesh, the co-anchor of ‘Udan Panam,’ Mithun, got ready to perform live.
What followed was a series of mimicking acts, imitating sounds of a slew of celebrities, who were not confined to Kerala.
Mithun impersonated Sachin Tendulkar, former president APJ Abdul Kalam, former US president Barack Obama and so on, with an uncanny ease.
Mithun’s imitating of Queen Elizabeth and Obama with the same dialogue was a mind blowing act.
The list also included a mock interview between writer Punathil Kunjabdullah and TV personality John Brittas and that was enacted with perfection. Mithun’s live performance has been already watched by millions on social media.
The talented young media professional was a super star at the youth festivals during his younger days. A native of Chetoor, near Chathamangalam in Kozhikode, Mithun had won the top prize for mimicry at state school youth festivals several times.
