Major Ravi to assist Priyan for 'Kunjali Marakkar'

My next Mohanlal movie will be set in a village, says Major Ravi.

After the film 1971: Beyond Borders released in 2017, director Major Ravi will join megastar Mohanlal on the sets of Kunjali Marakkar, to be helmed by ace filmmaker Priyadarshan. Major Ravi's role will be to provide directorial assistance.

In a Facebook live chat Major Ravi detailed about his upcoming projects. He said that since he was busy with the programmes of the National Academy of Pre-Recruitment Training (NAPT) for the Indian Army, his works in films have been put on hold for the time being, but will be assisting Priyadarsan on the sets of Kunjali Marakkar.

"Priyardarshan is my Guru. So I will be joining him on the sets of 'Kunjali Marakkar' and assist him," he said and added, "My Mohanlal project will start after that. It will be a story set in a village. The memories of the film 'Aram Thamburan' is still afresh in the minds of many. So our film will be pitched along those lines. A couple of stories are in mind."

He also informed that his next film with Nivin Pauly will begin soon after his current project directed by Rosshan Andrrews is over. Benny P Nayarambalam will be writing the script of the story idea he has given to him, Ravi said.
