Yes, the hit Nivin Pauly-Alphonse Puthren team that gave us Neram and Premam is back to big screen with their next release. The teaser of Aviyal has come out and it features Nivin and National Award-winning Bobby Simha among others.
Aviyal is an anthology of Tamil short films made by various directors. The highlight of Aviyal is Eli, a short film directed by Alphonse Puthren years ago, much before his directorial debut Neram in 2013. Eli has Nivin and Simha in the lead roles. The short film was produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan then.
"Aviyal is an anthology feature film of five fun-filled, entertaining stories, starring Bobby Simha, Nivin Pauly and many more," the makers say.
In addition to Eli, Aviyal has four other short films – directed by Sameer Sulthan, Lokesh Kanakaraj, Mohit Mehra and Guru Smaran. The movie is making it to the big screen under the production of Jigarthanda director Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Creations.
The teaser was officially released by Tamil director Venkat Prahu on Thursday. The movie will be hitting the theatres this month itself.
