Dulquer Salmaan didn't win an award, but he is ecstatic. Here's why

Actor Dulquer Salmaan did not win an award in the 2016 Kerala State Film Awards which were announced Tuesday. But he got some great news that made him very happy.

His two co-actors in Kammatipaadam – Vinayakan and Manikandan R. Achari - won the Best Actor award and the Best Character Artiste (male) award respectively.

Dulquer, who played the lead role of Krishnan in the Rajeev Ravi directorial, took to social media to congratulate the duo.

“Woo hooo !!!! Huuuge congrats to Best Actor Vinayakan chetan and Best Character Actor Manikandan chetan !! Proud and ecstatic that I'm also team #Kammattipaadam !! #StateAwards #Blessed,” Dulquer wrote along with a location picture of the three actors from the sets of Kammatipaadam.

Dulquer had won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor last year for his performance in Charlie.
