Actress-singer Nithya Menen says the song ‘va va vo’ that she rendered for the movie ‘Mohanlal’ is her favourite. Nithya sang the duet with Suchith Suresan.
“I liked ‘va va vo’ the first time I heard it. The sweet and simple lullaby suits my voice very well. Tony Joseph, who composed the music, has done an excellent job. I find myself fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to sing this song. It is my favourite among all the songs I have sung,” says Nithya.
Nithya also sang a song for her latest movie ‘Prana’. ‘Mohanlal’ is directed by Sajid Yahiya and the lyrics are by Manu Manjith. The ‘va va vo’ song is picturised on Manju Warrier and Indrajith.
Two other songs in the movie, ‘Laletta’ and ‘Thoovennila’ have already become viral. The song ‘Laletta’, is rendered by the daughter of Indrajith, the male lead in the movie. All the songs in the movie have been composed by Tony Joseph.
The cinematography of ‘Mohanlal’ is by Shaji Kumar. Several leading actors in Malayalam are appearing in the movie, which is releasing during Vishu.
‘Mohanlal’ had attracted some controversy also after scriptwriter Kalavoor Ravikumar accused the filmmakers of plagiarism.
