Singing couple sizzles Super 4 audience as guests

Anup and Lalloo Alphose who are now known across Kerala as the singing couple after their viral song videos awed the judges and audience alike at the music reality show Super 4 aired on Mazhavil Manorama. The couple was invited to the show as guests and was offered the stage to present their songs.

Lalloo first rendered the solo, 'Aadi Vaa Katte...' which had gone viral earlier and later Anup joined the former for the duet, 'Poonkaatinodum...' The judges appreciated their performance and especially lauded Lalloo's ability to sing with a smiling face.

"We feel happy and the heart is content to watch the singer performing on stage with a smiling face. A special thanks for singing beautifully," said composer Deepak Dev, a judge.

Lalloo's answer to who her favourite judge among the four - Shaan Rahman, Sharreth, Sujatha and Deepak Dev - created a cheerful mood. It was Shaan Rahman who threw up the question when Lalloo said she was so excited to see her most liked judges in person. When she named Sujatha, the other jurists made loud funny remarks and the audience broke into guffaws.

Anup, working in an IT firm and Lalloo, who is working as teacher with a college in Ramapuram, near Kottayam, formed the band 'Singing Couple' after the songs they rendered during private occasions went viral. The couple has since performed at various locations and had even gone abroad to perform at a show.

Super 4 is a music reality programme, where young singers are groomed by the judges and are allowed to do hit the podium. The show aired on Mazhavil Manorama has 16 contestants in four groups.
