Panaji: As many as 43 films will be screened today, the second last day of the 46th edition of IFFI here. Malayalam films Ore Udal directed by Asha Achy Joseph and Ottal by Jayaraj will have a repeat screening today.
Some of the films that are likely to have a packed audience today are Among the believers by Mohammed Naqvi and Hemal Trivedi, which is a documentary on the roots of religious extremism in Pakistan, Wild tales, a Spanish film by Damian Szifron, Tamil-French-English collaboration Dheepan by Jacques Audiard and Pedro Almodovar's Woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Iranian master Jafar Panahi's Taxi will also be screeened today.
India's official entry for the Oscars, Court also has been scheduled for a repeat show today.
Celebrated art director Sabu Cyril's masterclass on his medium has been cancelled.
Yesterday, a total of 42 films, including the Malayalam film Lukka Chuppi were screened. Lukka Chuppi's crew, including director Bash Mohammed and sound designer Resul Pookutty were honoured on the red carpet.
Directors Mai Masri (3000 nights), Kaushik Ganguly (Cinemawalla), Aram Shahbazyan (Moskvich, Mylove) and art director Ramses Benjumea (Embrace of the serpent) among others were honoured by IFFI officials at various venue.
