Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran Malayalam director Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who has completed 50 years of filmmaking, will be honored at the 21st edition of IFFK Monday.
A group of well-known celebrities and filmmakers will attend the event and speak on Adoor's valuable contributions to the film world.
Actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan, who got married recently, will also attend the function. The actor couple was last seen together onscreen in Adoor's Pinneyum which released earlier this year.
MK Raghavendra, Saibal Chatterjee, Uma DA Kunha, Mehelli Modi, Meena T Pillai and Dr. Gopinath will deliver speeches on various aspects of Adoor cinema.
The felicitation ceremony will be held at Sree Theater followed by the screening of Pinneyum starring Dileep and Kavya.
