Manoramaonline wins IFFK award for online reporting

Thiruvananthapuram: Manoramaonline bagged the Media Award for the Best Online Reporting for the second consecutive year at the 21th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) here on Friday. The special site, Kerala Talkies 2016, is a bilingual website with a wide variety of multimedia contents.

Manoramaonline content producer Ramesh K, assistant content producers Gopika K.P. and Ramesh Chandran K.P. received the award from culture minister A.K. Balan at the closing ceremony here.

The special site featured festival news, interviews, previews, movie reviews, videos and picture galleries, columns by critics, social media wall and top 5 must watch movies of each day. The site also featured a special video report by a transgender, Sree S, which is the first in India.

Manoramaonline has bagged the award in 2012, 2013 and 2015 also.

Other awards

The awards for best print reporting went to Aravind of Metro Vartha. Greeshma of Jaihind TV won the award for best visual media reporting. The Radio Awards for reporting went to Aakashavani.
