Real-life cops of 'Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum' at IFFK

Thiruvananthapuram: Several actors have put on the police uniform to play the role of cops on screen. Those who have donned the uniform in real life playing the same role are very few. The real-life cops of Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum who have made it big in Mollywood were here to attend the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) for the first time as invited guests.

CI Sibi Thomas, who donned the role of SI Sajan Mathew and police officer P Sivadasan, visited Tagore Theater as their movie was screened here. "I always wanted to come here but got busy with work. Since I am from Kasaragod, it was difficult to come all the way from there. I am happy that we were invited to the festival," said Sibi Thomas.

Sibi Thomas is planning to have discussions with like-minded film buffs here at IFFK and has also decided to take leave and come as a delegate for the next festival.

"I feel so happy that the delegates recognize us at the festival as actors," said P Sivadasan.

Sivadasan has been roped into many new projects like B Ajith Kumar’s Eada in which he is playing the role of a politician. Sibi and Sivadasan can be seen together in another movie Bellum Breakum nd expect more projects in the future.

"We take leave only after getting a sanction from the government. Our department has been very supportive so far", said Sivadasan.
