Postpone Blasters-Bengaluru FC match in Kochi on New Year's Eve: Kerala police

Kerala Blasters' three home games this season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi have drawn crowds in excess of 30,000.

Kochi: The Kerala police have requested the Kerala Blasters team management to postpone the Indian Super League (ISL) match between Blasters and Bengaluru FC to be played in Kochi on New Year's Eve.

The police have made it clear that it will be tough for them to deploy their personnel on the match day as the security has to be beefed up across the state on New Year Eve.

It is up to the ISL organizers to take a final call regarding the conduct of the match.

So far Blasters' three home games this season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium have drawn crowds in excess of 30,000.
