Kerala Blasters were lucky against Delhi Dynamos: IM Vijayan

KOCHI: Luck favored Kerala Blasters in match against Delhi Dynamos, which went into the shootout. After all, how can the ball enter Kerala Blasters' goal if they have their supporters praying for them.

Delhi were much better than Kerala on the field. Delhi's goal, time and again, came under pressure through creative moves initiated by Malouda and Marcelinho. Like I used to say earlier, full marks should be given to Kerala Blasters' defense. What can I say, Sandesh Jinghan's goaline save was unbelievable.

Delhi snatched the ball brilliantly from Kerala Blasters forwards and midfielders and created chances. But luck favored Kerala and Sandip Nandy came up with good saves to deny Delhi the pie. Nandy turned out to be hero for Blasters by saving the last penalty kick in the shootout.

Kerala's rival in the final is Kolkata but the final will be played in Kochi. It is a dream final and Kerala play their hearts out and should come out as victors.
