Kochi: For all those who came enthusiastically to be Kochi Metro’s first commuters, Malayala Manorama doubled their excitement by presenting them with environment-friendly gift bags.

The bags were given to the first 1,000 commuters who boarded the train in the morning from both the ends, Palarivattom and Aluva. The bag contained a memento certifying the person to be one of the first travelers of the Kochi Metro, a purse, a copy of Manorama newspaper and its different publications.

Malayala Manorama, in association with the Chungathu Jewellery, conducted music programs from morning to evening at the Palarivattom and Aluva stations.
