Student, CEO duo enter finals of HRATC 2015

Kochi: Lentin Joseph, CEO of Qbotics Labs, and Kamil Kafoor, a student of mechanical engineering from Munnar, have entered the finals of the international robotics challenge called HRATC 2015. This competition is being conducted by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.

As part of the contest, Team Zephyr, which consisted of the two members, had to clear three rounds inorder to enter the finals. The team was assigned the task to inspecting a mine from a random area using a Husky robot. For which they had to create an algorithm in the first round or the Algorithm phase. This was followed by the Simulation phase and testing phase. The finals will take place on May 26th and we wish them all the best.

The other finalists include the teams from National University of Singapore, University of Texas, University of Nebraska. The contest is being conducted as part of ICRA 2015, one of the biggest Robotics and Automation conferences in the world.

Qbotics labs is a company that is being incubated at the Startup Village in Kochi.
