Startup Village team up with HDFC Startup Village and HDFC Bank launched a digital account opening system and credit card for companies incubated here.

Kochi: The Startup Village and HDFC Bank jointly launched a digital account opening system and credit card for start-ups based here.

The initiative was launched by Navin Puri, Country Head – Branch Banking, HDFC Bank and Nitin Chugh, Head – Digital Banking, HDFC Bank, Sanjay Vijayakumar, Chairman, Startup Village and Pranav Kumar Suresh, CEO, Startup Village.

Companies, that are incubated at the Startup Village, can initiate the process by filling up an online form.

“It is India’s young who are disrupting traditional business models, driving innovation and creating value in a fast changing business paradigm. The initiative not only offers greater ease of doing business, but also highlights the customer’s association with a prestigious initiative such as Startup Village,” said Navin Puri.

“India does not have a bank equivalent to the Silicon Valley Bank which offers next generation banking products for technology start-ups in the Silicon Valley. HDFC is now moving fast into that league and the innovative products launched by the bank will be highly beneficial for start-ups in India,” Sanjay Vijayakumar said.
