Kochi: Kerala too can be proud when healthcare startup, Good Methods Global, finds a place among Flipkart, Myntra and Book My Show through Accel venture capital funding.

Funds from the venture capital funding agency, Accel, based in Silicon in the United States, is reaching Kerala for the first time through the healthcare company that was set up at the Technopark in 2015.

Accel Partners would be investing Rs.57.8 crore (Series A) in three instalments. GMG is a management platform that links patients and hospital using cloud technology. The company is focusing on dental care and has clientele mostly in Florida and Texas.

The company was floated by a 15-member team. The experience of CEO Abhilash Krishna in global healthcare segment proved to be of great help for the company in the initial stages.

The US was selected as the main market. Now the company has 150 employees.

On getting the venture capital funding it proposed to add 100 employees to its workforce.

Operations head Arjun Satish said GMG has operations in Kerala from a 17,000 square feet premises at Technopark.
