Kollam: Akansa Misra from Uttar pradesh has won this year's Miss Queen of India title. Reshma R.K. Nambiar from Kerala and Varna Sambath from Karnataka were adjudged the first and second runners respectively in the grand finale held at the Raviz Hotel, Kollam here Wednesday.
As many as 16 contestants competed for the title crown at the grand finale. Previous year's winner Ankita Karat crowned Akansa.
She walked home with a purse of Rs 1.5 lakh. The first and second runners-up won cash prizes of Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.
The event saw contestants walking the ramp in red gown, black cocktail, and designer sarees.
The event was organized by PEGASUS event makers.
Model-turned actor Rajeev Pillai, dancer Uma Riyaz Khan and model Niyati Joshi were the jury members for the event
