» Fruit lamps

To convert fruit peels into aromatic lamps, slice an orange into two hemispheres and remove the pods. Make sure that you retain the wick-like white stalk inside the fruit. Fill this half with oil. Cut out a star pattern from the other half. After lighting the orange lamp, cover it with the star lid to see the magic of light. You may also try making similar lamps with lemon peels.

» Seashell lamps

Old seashells can be made into beautiful candles that can replace traditional 'diyas;. Pour molten wax into the shells along with a wick and voila, they are ready.
