This differently abled man lets his work speak for him

Mananthavady: P A Ajo turned an overnight celebrity when he won a national competition for photographers and graphic designers. The young man from Payyampally in Wayanad district, however, would not listen to any congratulatory messages. He could not speak or hear since he was born.

Ajo has turned his limitations into his strong points. He did not let his impairment cloud his creativity. He mastered the sign language to effectively communicate with the outside world. He finished a six-moth graphic designing course in Delhi.

His efforts paid when he topped an event organized for the differently abled in Mumbai. He entered the photography and designing contests online.

Ajo studied in the Poomala Special School near Bathery up to 10th class and pursued his secondary education in a school at Kunnamkulam. He then went to the National Institute of Speech and Hearing College in Thiruvananthapuram to earn a degree.

Supported by his father Elias and mother Saramma, Ajo is waiting for an opportunity to launch his career.
