The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is just around the corner. If you have been preparing for the entrance test to the premier technology schools in India starting February 3, read on.

The remaining two weeks could make all the difference in your academic career. Here are some points to keep in mind while you burn the midnight oil ahead of the test.

1. Last minute notes

Drop those hefty books now. It is better to refer to your notes in the last minute. If you have not worked on your notes, you can rely on notes complied from various websites.

2. Mock test

Most of the candidates would have attempted mock tests by now. If you haven’t, now is a good time.

3. A bird in hand...

Are you still struggling with some of your study materials? Forget them. You may do better by strengthening your core areas than wasting time on concepts that evade you.

4. Short cuts

Memorize short cuts to your study areas. Write down the equations to etch them in your memory. Get your thumb rules right.

5. Be confident

Focus on the test in the coming days. Boost your confidence and tell yourself that you have learned it all. Take breaks as needed.
