Rajiv Gandhi institute gets new director

New Delhi: B.S. Shiju has been appointed director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies (RGIDS), run by the KPCC, in Thiruvananthapuram.

RGIDS chairman and leader of the opposition Ramesh Chennithala made the formal announcement on Thursday.

B.S. Shiju, a member of the KPCC executive committee, has been working as the bureau chief of Jaihind TV and Congress mouthpiece Veekshanam.

He was part of a 10-member team created by Congress party during the assembly elections.
