Photos are mine, Dubai man flags fake campaigns on Madhu

Thiruvananthapuram: 'Madhu, the tribal youth killed in Attappady, was a bright, educated young boy who landed in a mess following a failed love affair. He then lost his mental balance and started living like a vagabond.'

Social media is rife with the photos of Madhu from his younger days. The photos are real, just that they are not of Madhu.

The real owner of those photos, a youth working in Dubai is planning to approach the cyber cell against anonymous persons who have been spreading the fake message with his photo being masqueraded as that of the tribal man, brutally mob-lynched.

Thiruvananthapuram native Faisi Daison who works as the manager of an Italian restaurant at Dubai Marina, is planning to lodge a complaint against the misuse of his photo, which carries a resemblance to the slain youth.

Faisi says that the photo being circulated was taken in 2004 when he was attending a three-year course in hotel management in a Kochi college.

It was then extracted from the owner's page and circulated in the name of the tribal youth who was killed.

Responding to the story that has been circulating about Madhu, his family responded that what was being circulated on the social media was a cooked up tale.

The full script of the fake story:

'Madhu was good at studies. Our tragic hero was bright boy who studied at a convent school in a place called Sreesankara. The family's responsibility fell on his shoulders after he lost his father. He had to look after his sisters and mother.

'At the same time, he fell in love too. The girl's family beat him into pulp. That made him mentally unstable. That is when his life was thrown off gear.

He developed a fear for everything and everyone. Medical care did not help him in anyway. He withdrew into his own shell. He would venture out only when he cannot stand his hunger. Often when he used to get out, he used to get beaten up too. He lost his life in one such attack.'
