Kochi: DGP Jacob Thomas has complained to the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) against two Kerala High Court judges who heard the Pattoor land case.
The complaint against judges P Ubaid and Abraham Mathew has been sent to CVC.
The senior cop alleged that the judges had weakened vigilance cases and their interferences had literally took the steam of many anti-graft measures taken by the body. The complaint also mentions Lokayukta Pius C Kuriakose.
A copy of the complaint was submitted to the chief justice of the Supreme Court.
Alleging that there were attempts to insult him, the former Vigilance director sought to unearth the conspiracy behind it.
Vigilance had conducted a 'quick verification' in December 2015 on a complaint by the then opposition leader, V S Achuthanandan, who had alleged that the previous UDF government led by Chandy had violated norms in allowing a private company to construct flats on the land owned by the
government at Pattoor in Thiruvananthapuram.
It was during Jacob Thomas' tenure as the vigilance director, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case in 2017 against former chief minister Oommen Chandy, and four others in a land-grab case.
However, in January, the former Vigilance director had drawn flak from the High Court in the Pattoor land case.
