Thiruvananthapuram: Senior BJP leader O Rajagopal, who scripted history by helping his party open its maiden account in the state assembly, on Saturday met chief minister-designate Pinarayi Vijayan.
The meeting, which lasted around 10 minutes, assumes significance against the backdrop of clashes erupting in various parts of the state between CPM and BJP workers, after the LDF rode to power in the May 16 assembly polls.
Rajagopal won from Nemom constituency in Thiruvananthapuram by defeating CPM's V Sivankutty.
The BJP leader said it was a courtesy call to meet the CM-designate. (With agency inputs)
