Kaduthuruthi: It was an alliance that was on the rocks even before it set sail. The girl who obliged her fiance by sending him her nude photographs found herself in an embarrassing situation when he threatened to post them online.
The man from Adithyapuram was arrested after the woman’s relatives lodged a complaint with the police. He had sent the photos to the woman’s aunt and threatened to post them on Facebook and WhatsApp too.
The arrested man was supposed to get married to his victim on August 27. He had managed to convince her to send him intimate photos during their lengthy talks over phone, the police said.
However, when the girl sent him the pictures, he suddenly had doubts about her morals and walked out of the alliance. As if to buttress his point, he sent the pictures to the girl’s aunt, who worked abroad.
The girl’s family lodged a complaint with the police and a team led by Circle Inspector M.K. Binukumar arrested the blackmailer.
