Kochi: Is Pulsar Suni the same Sunil Surendran the Dubai police is looking for in a sex racket case? Reasons abound to believe that he is.
It is suspected that Sunil Kumar, aka Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the actress attack case, was involved in a high-profile sex racket case being probed by the CBI.
Suni had traveled to Dubai on fake passports on several occasions in 2013-14, sources said.
The witness statements in the Dubai sex racket case speak of the involvement of one Sunil Surendran who worked as a driver in Dubai. The statements were given by A.P. Manesh of Manayadu, T.A. Rafeeq of Azheeekode, and Varghese Raphael of Maradu who were agents of Lissy Sojan, the main accused in the flesh trade case. Lissy was arrested in 2013.

Sunil Surendran was the kingpin of a racket which used to lure women, who wanted to try their luck in the film field, into flesh trade. It is suspected that Suni meticulously established links with the film industry eyeing more such preys.
Sunil was the close aide of K.V. Suresh of Valappad, Thrissur, who managed the racket. Sunil fled Dubai after the crime came to the light.
It has been found that Sunil had three passports. The details came to light during the ongoing probe into the actress attack case after which the police had issued a look-out notice against Suni.
Pulsar Suni and his accomplice Vigeesh are in police custody.
