Kochi: Actor Nivin Pauly joined the chorus seeking justice for the 18-year-old girl who was found dead in the Kochi Lake last Monday.
Mishel Shaji Varghese, an aspiring chartered accountant, left her hostel room in Kochi on March 5. She was found dead the next day.

Pauly said the unnatural death needs to be probed further and the victim’s family has to be assured of justice.

The girl's departure has shattered the hopes of a family and their fight for justice demands our support, Pauly wrote on Facebook. He said even the feeblest voice may be of help for them.

Political leaders and associations have raised their voice in support of the family.
The police insist that Mishel had committed suicide but her relatives refuse to buy the theory. They cite evidence to support their claim that there was no reason for the young woman to end her life. They want the police to form a special investigation team to probe the case.
