Youth's bison selfie: TN forest dept launches hunt for 'daring' photographer

Gudallur: Fools rush in where angels fear to tread could aptly describe what this youth did. He clicked a selfie with a large bison which had ventured out of the forest area and was on an attack spree in and around Coonoor.

The forest department has launched a hunt for the youth who, they say, is lucky to be alive and in one piece. The youth clicked the selfie at Black Bridge, near Coonoor, in spite of repeated warnings by local people.

The bison had spread panic in the area a few days ago too. The photographs of the youth capturing the selfie went viral and reached the forest enforcers too. In the photo, the animal is seen grazing near a fence.

Last November, a Chennai youth was gored by a bison while he tried to capture a selfie with it at Sims Park. As many as eight people had been killed in bison attacks in and around Coonoor.
