New York: Tennis great Serena Williams has announced her engagement to Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of social media platform Reddit.
Her announcement was posted on Reddit in the form of a poem on Thursday. According to the post, Ohanian took Serena to Rome where he proposed to her. Serena shared her post to r/isaidyes, a forum where users share their stories of wedding proposals.
Serena wrote, “I came home/ A little late/ Someone had a bag packed for me/ And a carriage awaited/ Destination: Rome/... Down on one knee/ He said 4 words/ And/ r/isaidyes.”
Ohanian confirmed the engagement on Facebook by writing, “ She said yes”.
Serena Williams has won 22 grand slam singles titles and is the world number two tennis player.
