The Indian state of Assam came fourth after England, Galapagos Islands and Ecuador on the New York Times Top 52 destinations list.
Assam has many beautiful spots like the Kaziranga National Park, Majuli Island and tea plantations.
Recently, Charaideo Moidams, aka Assam Pyramids, were added to the UNESCO World Heritage list.
The state has also made its various spots easily accessible with new infrastructure.
A new terminal will also be completed in Guwahati airport by July 2025.
