Freeze these fruits for maximum nutrition

Everyone loves fresh fruits, but some are better frozen as the method preserves their nutrients and flavour.

Pineapple

Frozen pineapple preserves its natural enzymes like bromelain and antioxidants. However, do not buy if it has added sugars or sweeteners.

Berries

Frozen berries are often washed, prepped and quickly frozen. Therefore, it doesn't degrade or lose nutrition with time.

Both its texture and flavour are better when frozen, and it's also better suited for blending.

Cherries

If you can't access locally grown fresh cherries, it's better to pick frozen ones as they prevent vitamin loss over storage and transport. However, avoid those with added sugar.
