Meghalaya's capital Shillong has its own cherry blossom season around November, when the trees create a picture-perfect scenery.
They bloom the best in Ward's Lake park, Polo Grounds, Mawlynnong Village, Lady Hydari Park and the streets.
The state also holds it as a flower-music festival on November 14 and 15 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong, for which tickets can be purchased online from shillongcherryblossom.com
The artists lined up for this year are Jason Derulo, Nora Fatehi, The Script and Diplo.
The event will also showcase indigenous dance and music of the region, food stalls, art and craft expo.
