The festival is held at Kisama Heritage Village, near Kohima.

Entry tickets are available on the Hornbill Festival website, at roughly ₹20–₹30 per day; a camera fee applies for still/video.
Indian visitors must obtain an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Nagaland; foreign nationals may require a Protected Area Permit (PAP).
Visitors can experience tribal dances, games, concerts, warrior reenactments, and tribal crafts.
The food options include smoked pork, bamboo-shoot curries, sticky rice, fiery chutneys, and local rice beer.
