Delhi’s airspace will be temporarily closed each day from 21–26 Jan, from 10.20 am–12.45 pm, ahead of R-Day rehearsals, affecting regular flights.
Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) will halt take-offs and landings during these hours, disrupting many departures and arrivals.
On Republic Day itself (Jan 26), flights may face extended airspace restrictions, with operations suspended in specific windows.
Over 600 flights could be delayed, rescheduled or cancelled due to these Delhi airspace curbs and rehearsals.
The Delhi Police have issued a traffic advisory in connection with the full dress rehearsal on January 22
The same applies to the Republic Day celebration at Chhatrasal Stadium on January 25.
