Peeling garlic can be a real chore in Indian kitchens, especially when you need lots for dishes like curries and pickles. But here's a quick solution from Instagram vlogger Fariha Asfand: separate the cloves, heat them in a pan, then wrap them in a cloth and scrub. Easy, right? Let us guide you through it.

Step 1: The first step is to separate the cloves from the bulbs. Peeling becomes easier if the cloves are bigger.
Step 2: Heat a pan and add the garlic cloves. Stir well until the garlic is hot enough.
Step 3: Transfer the garlic into a piece of cotton cloth. Wrap the cloth and scrub the garlic cloves nicely. This would remove the peel easily.

To keep them fresh, store the peeled cloves with a bit of salt. And to get rid of that garlic smell on your hands, soak them in a mix of vinegar, salt or baking soda, and hot water. Another tip: rub the cloves with oil and leave them in the sun to make peeling even easier.

You could store these garlic cloves in plastic containers with some salt in it to preserve them for a few days.

A user has also commented another method to remove garlic peel. They claimed that the peel could be removed easily by rubbing some oil on the cloves and keeping them under the sun.
