'Kayamkulam Kochunni' in Rs 100-crore club

On its 50th day of its run in the theatres, the film 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' has set a milestone.

Reportedly, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' starring Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly has entered into the Rs 100-Crore club considering the total business that the film has done so far. Here's a detailed look into the collections:

Outside Kerala gross- Rs 57 crore

Satellite and digital gross- Rs 15 cr

GCC*- Rs 18 cro

Outside GCC- Rs 4.82 cr

Audio, Video rights- Rs 1 cr

Dubbing rights- Rs 3.5 cr

With this achievement, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' has become the second movie after 'Pulimurugan', which made it to the Rs 100-Crore club. And this definitely is a proud moment for the Malayalam industry.

The movie directed by Rosshan Andrrews is still continuing its victorious journey in some of the prominent centres across the state. Even after big movies including 'Sarkar' and 'Thugs Of Hindostan' have arrived in theatres, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' has set the box office ringing.

Earlier, the makers had confirmed that the film had collected above Rs 50 crore from the first 10 days of its run. Thus, it became one of the fastest Malayalam movies to enter the Rs 50-Crore club.

Scripted by Sanjay-Bobby, the movie is based on the life of a famed highwayman who robbed from the rich and gave the loot to the poor during the British Raj in the early 19th century.
