Haven’t worn anything not permitted by Indian law at any function: Honey Rose

What forced you to react strongly now?
This has been a nagging worry for me for years. Now I realise that if I do not respond, it would be inappropriate. I have been continuously shamed through social media for over two years. I was invited to inaugurate an establishment by the manager of an individual, whom I have not named in my social media post. I had a bad experience there, which was shocking. I told them not to call me for any of their programmes in the future. Soon after that, when I went for another programme this person was sitting on the dais. He had put out a video on social media claiming that Honey Rose, who had slammed him, was attending another function with him. But I was not told about this person’s presence by the organisers.
Have you watched these videos, which are circulating on social media?
Whenever I go to such functions, many people take videos on mobiles. I cannot dictate their camera angles. Many among them try to project out body in a vulgar fashion, but this only comes to our notice when it is posted on social media. I have not gone to any function wearing anything that isn’t permitted by Indian laws.
Did you receive enough support in this legal fight?
I am receiving immense support. AMMA was the first to offer their support. Media also ensured my voice was heard. Police officers too have intervened fairly in the case. I cannot stay quiet when I see obscene, vulgar comments in posts. This is why I went to the police station directly and filed a complaint. Cops have arrested one person. They gave me the confidence to go ahead.
