No Chennai this time: Vineeth Sreenivasan hints at fresh setting in new film

The first look poster of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming film will be released soon. This time, the director is stepping away from his usual style and is bringing a thriller to the big screen. The announcement comes on a special occasion — the 15th anniversary of ‘Malarvaadi Arts Club’.

“Back in 2010, I made my directorial debut with ‘Malarvaadi Arts Club’. Today marks 15 years since that release — so many memories and unforgettable experiences,” Vineeth wrote. “This evening, I will be releasing the first look poster of my latest film. It’s a project that moves away from my usual approach. The genre is thriller. More updates will follow. With love, Vineeth.”

Fans have been pouring in with wishes for the new film. Some comments pointed to the Chennai references often seen in Vineeth’s movies. When a fan speculated, “Will this be about the Chennai underworld?”, Vineeth jokingly replied, “Not a word about Poland!” Another fan asked, “So no Chennai this time?” Vineeth responded, “No Chennai. Confirmed.”

After ‘Hridayam’ and ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’, Vineeth is once again teaming up with producer Visakh Subramaniam. The upcoming film stars Noble Babu Thomas in the lead, and the first look poster will be unveiled later today.
