PP Kunhikrishnan pays tribute to Kalabhavan Navas with photo from 'Prakambanam' set

 Following the sudden demise of Kalabhavan Navas, actor P.P. Kunhikrishnan shared an emotional tribute along with a photograph from the film set where Navas was last seen acting. The picture was taken during the shoot of 'Prakambanam', the film Navas had been working on at the time of his passing.

He captioned the post, "Last day on the sets of 'Prakambanam' with dear Navas."
Kunhikrishnan, who also stars in 'Prakambanam', recalled that Navas was active and upbeat on set until the very end. He mentioned that Navas had left to vacate his room and head home since there was no shoot scheduled for the next two days.

“Navas joined the shoot on the 25th of last month,” Kunhikrishnan said. “He didn’t have work for the next couple of days, so he said he’d go home and come back refreshed. There was no sign of discomfort when he left. He told us, ‘I don’t have shoot for the next two days, so I’ll go home, vacate the room, and return fresh.’ And then he left.”

He added, “From morning, he was with us—lively, cheerful, and fully involved. When he said he was going home, there was absolutely no sign that something was wrong. We continued our shoot till around 9:30 that night. It was only when the hotel staff called that we realised he wasn’t feeling well. We assumed it was just a minor illness, because he had seemed perfectly fine on set. None of us saw this coming.”

Kunhikrishnan also spoke about how Navas had only recently returned to acting after a break from films. “Just recently, all of us sat together and spoke at length—about personal matters, about the film, about everything. We had no idea something like this would happen so suddenly,” he said.
