Santhosh Pandit has declared that he will submit his films for the National Film Awards next year — and he’s aiming high. Taking a playful dig while referencing Shah Rukh Khan’s recent win, Pandit expressed confidence about bagging the Best Actor award himself.
“This time, Shah Rukh Khan won the National Award, right? Just like that, I hope to win it next time,” he wrote on social media. “I’ve never submitted any of my films before, but I will from now on. Hmm… don’t mess with Pandit.”
Shah Rukh Khan received the Best Actor award for his performance in 'Jawan'. However, the jury’s decision to overlook Prithviraj’s role in 'Aadujeevitham' has drawn significant backlash from critics and fans alike.
Onmanorama had earlier reported that one member of the 11-member central jury for the feature film category opposed the selection of 'The Kerala Story'. However, the majority of the panel defended the choice, arguing that despite the controversy, the film addressed a socially relevant issue.
